This website is owned and created by Nancy Kerson, a private citizen. Information about BLM adoptions is offered as a service, to help mustangs find homes.

Please direct adoption questions to the BLM, not to me.

And we sure as heck are not a Mustang car dealership!

HORSES FOR ADOPTION AT THE WILD HORSE & BURRO EXPO, AUGUST 18, 2007

Folks like to hear the adoption prices for the Mustangs from the Prison Gentling program, so here they are:

Zeek   $3100                 Washoe   $1600

Hondo  $2950                 T-Rex   $1400

Bandit $1600                  Drifter  $1300

T Rex
Nevada Estray #????
15.2 Hands, Approximate 1200 pounds!
Appaloosa
12 years old!

At every picture taking, there is a horse that stands out.  This one is it.  What a "buff" horse!  I could not get a picture with his ears forward because he was "tuned" into his rider and Hank (who tries to make noises to get their ears to forward)...He was not in the least bit concerned with the silly person in front of him taking pictures - he was listening to his trainer and Hank....

This is a pleasure horse that is stout enough to carry a large person ALL DAY LONG!  He rides and stops well, and backs up nicely, says his trainer.  He has been loaded into the stock trailer, and has been trimmed without a problem.

Drifter
Nevada Estray #1228
Bay
4 years Old
14.3 H - 950 lbs

Drifter was very calm for pictures - he just seemed to take it all in stride.  The trainer says he handles well and has a really nice stop and back up.  This horse is "Mr. Personality", plus he is very curious.  Drifter is very athletic and is ready to get up and go when you are!  Add some character to your barn with Drifter!

Hondo

Hondo

BLM: #4050
HMA: Buck and Bald
14.2 H and weighs approximately 1100 pounds
4 years old
Solid Bay with a Star

Hondo is well mannered and rides nicely.  He has a soft mouth and is starting to neck rein.  He has pulled a drag, plus you can swing a rope on him.  He loads well and has been good about working with his feet.

Washoe

BLM #8240
HMA: Humboldt
2 years old
Sorrel Gelding
15.3 Hands
1200 lbs
Look at this beautiful Sorrel Gelding!  Washoe is put together nicely.  The rider on this horse is a big guy - and this horse could carry him all day long.  The trainer has already pulled logs with him and has been swinging a rope on him. He loads into the stock trailer well, and did well with getting his feet trimmed.

Zeek is a gorgeous red roan.  His beautiful dark legs, dark main and tail make for a horse that really stands out!  Look at those thick legs - he too can carry you all day long, no problem!   Zeek has a nice back up and rides very well.  He loads nicely into the on site stock trailer and has had his feet trimmed.
Zeek

BLM #8549
HMA: Devils Garden
3 year old
Red Roan Gelding
14.1 Hands AND 1050 lbs

Look at that very kind, soft eye.  He is only 3 years old, and is already filling out nicely - what a beautiful stocky horse.  The trainer says he is nice to ride, stops well and backs up nicely too.  He has been trimmed and trailer loads easily.
Bandit
Nevada Estray #1229
14.2 H - 900 lbs
3 years old
Red Roan Gelding
