Information about BLM adoptions is offered as a service, to help mustangs find homes and to promote public appreciation of wild horses and burros.
Please direct adoption questions to the BLM, not to me.
And I sure as heck am not a Mustang car dealership!
I have NO horses or burros for sale and not interested in buying or listing your sale animals!

Beni's going to make it!
Beni remained our "problem child" for over a year. Although he would tolerate handling, and was never aggressive toward people, he seemed miserable: Always on super-alert, always a worried, sad expression in his eyes. When he was kept in a small space, he became reasonably easy to catch and work with. As soon as he was out in the big pasture, he would revert to semi-wild again. Everything panicked him, and he was Hell on Wheels to the other horses.
Finally, in Spring of 2003, Beni made a deep break-through. I don't know what to attribute it to exactly - maybe a whole of of things - but he's different now. He is finally integrated into the herd - he's the undisputed King, but he's also showing a tender and nurturing side. Some days he actually plays! Beery pesters Beni until he just has to run and tussle. Beni is kind and protective of Eleanor, the baby mule. He even lets her eat off his feed pile. And he and Ruby are IN LOVE.
In March, Beni went with Baby Eleanor to their first Jerry Tindell clinic. Both of them did wonderfully!
